At the Annual General Meeting the organization's expansion was evident
as the meeting room had standing room only. One highlight of the AGM
was a raffle for two return tickets to Ireland donated by Aer Lingus in
support of the organization's efforts which were won by Majella Burns.
"We are indebted to our sponsors for their significant support this
year," said Sheridan. "We've had tremendous support from Star Brand
Imports, Irish government agencies and Aer Lingus and this has really
helped us in our first year." "It is really great to see what has
happened to the organization over the past year," said member Jennifer
Hartnett. "I've met many Irish people that I wouldn't have the
opportunity to normally meet and it's a very diverse group," Hartnett
continued. After the AGM was over Sheridan summed up the year nicely:
"We felt that expectations were high for our first year, and we are
delighted that we were able to deliver, so we're looking forward to a
great second year and to greeting new and familiar faces."
